Sonoran Sun

The third project on Sandy Beach was the Sonoran Sun Resort, which broke ground in 2004. Current Sonoran owners took part in a lottery for this new property, with over 400 people in attendance. The East Building sold out in a record-breaking time of 3 hours. Fernando Anaya, the Project Director, delivered the first condo 11 months later. This was the first project to deliver both East and West Buildings simultaneously. The Sonoran Sun consists of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos, garage/storage units, a tennis court, convenience store, on-site management company, internet center, fitness center, meeting room, Emiliano’s Restaurant and Cantina, 24-hour security, aqua bar, two swimming pools, and two Jacuzzis. The property has eight large fountains and the “Zocalo”, which is a patio area located inside the Resort, where live music plays on weekends. A new spa is currently under construction on site, and will be the largest spa on Sandy Beach.
